I’ve been tagged by my friend and fellow poet, Natalie Giarratano, to post a poem of mine (published, early draft, loved or hated) each day for five days and each day, I’m to tag another poet to join the challenge. For day #2 I’m selecting my poem “The Pond,” which was published here by The Meadow.
To date, this is the longest poem I’ve written and I started writing it when I was an undergrad at Allegheny College. It went through countless re-writes. For along time I only had the first section written and then added the other two sections over a series of workshops and revisions.
